The Sioux County Sheriff's Office investigates, on average, over 1600 incidents a year.
The Sheriff's Office has five (5) deputies who are trained in various areas of special investigations. Patrol deputies normally handle the initial investigation; after that the
case may be assigned to one of the specialists, or be investigated by the responding deputy.
All deputies at the Sheriff's Office are well trained in many specialized investigative areas, including crime scene processing, interview techniques, gathering and processing evidence, and report writing.
